Seti Tips
To make Seti go faster try the NT text only client
i386-winnt-cmdline.exe
Some claim a 10% increase.
There are versions (of 3.03) in both graphical and text only.
Based on my own experience (with version 3.0) the text client
takes around 14 % less time that the graphical client, and so
it is well worth the download.
Also you will need Seti Spy
which I give an enthusiastic recommendation.
It's free ware. Top stuff.
If you're on a dial up, or you're an in-frequent internet user.
Or you just want to be running units all the
time, even when the server is down. Then Mike Ober's
SETI Driver
is for you. It can be set up so it works with
Seti Spy, look for instructions in the
FAQ.
